The Faculty of Engineering and Science's research and sustainability profile is based on the faculty's spearhead agendas as well as local, national, and international agendas, and sets the direction for how the faculty will engage with sustainability in the coming years. World-class programmes for tomorrow's labor market

At the Faculty of Engineering and Science (ENGINEERING) we train graduates for the future labour market. This means that we are continuously ensuring that our programme offerings meet the need of graduates in the surrounding community. We train graduates in both Aalborg, Esbjerg and Copenhagen.

Department of the Built Environment

BUILD conducts research, trains students and consults in the urban, residential, construction and infrastructure areas. Based on this the department contributes to solving society's biggest challenges, such as the climate crisis, population development, resource scarcity and urbanisation.

Department of Energy

The Department of Energy trains students and conducts research in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, electrification and CO2 storage. With this focus, the department invests its expertise and impact in the green transition.

Department of Chemistry and Bioscience

The Department of Chemistry and Bioscience conducts research and trains students in chemistry, environment, biology and biotechnology. The department has a tradition of collaborating with the business community on new and innovative research, nationally as well as internationally.

AAU Admission Course offers fast, targeted single-subject courses, turbo courses and a full entrance exam for all engineering courses, Surveying and Planning courses and mechanical courses in Denmark.

The Doctoral School

The aim of the Doctoral School is to develop the Faculty’s PhD studies, including further development of existing PhD studies as well as the development of new Doctoral Programmes, and to ensure their quality.
