In 2022, 23 groups and a total of 115 students participated in the leadENG student projects.

Based on pitches of ideas for interdisciplinary projects made by supervisors from various departments, the following projects were chosen by students:

Small electric car (Electric Car Project 3.0)

The Wadden Sea plant Salicornia

Description: The project involves testing bioactive extracts to identify potential new biobased medications. We would like to test a series of isolated fractions of an extract against influenza A and arthritis, so we need to purchase chemicals for this purpose (5610 kr for influenza analysis and 2x 1632 kr for arthritis analyses). We already have clear indicators that we will be successful with these two analyses, which is why they have been chosen. The results of the project will be published in an article.

Areas: Biotechnology (4th semester, Esbjerg), Energy Engineering (8th or 10th semester, Aalborg).
